When this man got his hands on a fake Chinese mini Bentley, he wanted to see if it was worth the $3,100 he’d spent on it.
Getting a replica of a pricey car sounds good on paper.
After all, if it looks like the real deal, you’ve saved a bunch of money and have a cool looking car.
But would a closer inspection of this Bentley shatter the illusion?
We’ve seen a lot of imitation cars come out of China
You’ll have no doubt heard plenty about Chinese replicas of popular cars, whether it’s a BMW X5 or a Lexus.
The appeal is obvious.
It gives buyers the chance to own a car that looks high value, without paying those sky-high prices.
How good these replicas are is a matter for each buyer’s discretion.
It’s certainly something that plenty of YouTubers have sought to figure out for themselves, as was the case with these guys and their imitation Toyota.
How would this Chinese mini Bentley stack up against the real thing?
From the outside, the car looked remarkably close to a real-life Bentley.
Admittedly, the biggest difference makes itself clear quite early on – this is a lot smaller than your standard Bentley.
Things look pretty good on the inside, even if the wrappings still give the car that ‘just rolled off the factory line’ look.
Whether or not this car is worth the $3,100 paid for it is a question each person has to contemplate for themselves.
Over on our Facebook page, people had mixed responses, with some people likening it to a golf cart or a lawnmower.
And nobody would shell out thousands for those – unless they were really into their lawn care.
Either way, imitation cars are likely always going to be around, and there’ll be a market out there for people who want them.
