A father who parked his Chevrolet Corvette sports car over 30 years ago so he could afford to send his daughters to school has had an emotional surprise thanks to WD Detailing.

Known as Mr. Taylor, the man parked the C4 Corvette in the 1990s, as he wasn’t able to run the car anymore.

The ‘Vette cost so much each year that he chose family over the sports car, and it stood in a garage for over 30 years ever since.

But after WD Detailing was told about the car, they came along to work their magic on it and get it shining again.

Why this Chevrolet Corvette was parked for 30 years

Mr. Taylor told the detailers why he had to leave this sports car parked for so long.

“This was my dream car. But one day, I had to make a decision,” he said.

For the $3,000 a year he was spending on it, he decided to prioritize his daughters instead, so he could put them through school.

So that is how it came to sit for so long, without seeing any daylight in that time.

WD Detailing came to the rescue, and it needed some effort to pull it outside.

Two tires had air in them, yet two were completely flat.

Once inside the detailing workshop, the team cleaned the car and attempted to fire it up again.

The owner was stunned to see his car again

The WD Detailing team performed its usual incredible process to get the car gleaming again.

All sorts of things were found, including a 30-year-old Taco Bell sauce packed inside the Corvette.

Despite the years of dirt and grime, by the time they were done, it looked factory fresh once again.

Towards the end of the video, Mr. Taylor was taken to see his shiny Corvette.

He simply could not believe that this was the same car, and not someone else’s.

Mr. Taylor even said the C4 Corvette was better than how he remembered it back in the 1990s.

Seeing the joy on his face is exactly why the detailers take on projects like this.

Hopefully, he will be able to enjoy driving this stunning-looking sports car once again.
