Modified Ferrari Roma Spider looks subtly different but now exceeds 200mph

German tuner Novitec has created a modified version of the Ferrari Roma Spider.

It looks roughly the same as the ‘standard’ Ferrari Roma Spider, but there’s a lot to unpack under the surface.

More to the point, it is now faster than before.

Novitec isn’t exactly known for showing restraint.

Their Maserati MC20, for example, features a gold-plated exhaust.

But in recent times, their MO has changed, and they now prioritize performance.

And just like they did with the SF90, which now makes over 1,100 horsepower, Novitec’s Ferrari Roma Spider is all about power and performance.

Novitec’s Ferrari Roma Spider is a 200+ mph speed machine

After the Novitec treatment, the twin-turbo V8 in the Ferrari Roma is now producing 714 horsepower and 651lb-ft of torque, which is 83hp and 90lb-ft more than the standard Roma.

Thanks to the upgrade, it now accelerates from standstill to 62mph (100km/h) in just 3.2 seconds.

More to the point, it can break through the psychological barrier of 200mph – or 320km/h.

A touch of gold

Novitec’s interpretation looks almost the same as the normal Roma, except for a couple of details.

For starters, it is now 35mm lower than the regular Ferrari Roma Spider, thanks to a new suspension setup.

There is a new body kit, but it isn’t particularly wild.

There’s a new front lip spoiler, a revised front grille and new wing mirrors.

But at the end of the day, the only thing that’s Novitec-esque are the bespoke 22-inch Vossen alloys painted gold.

The interior follows the same black and gold color theme, but even here, they kept it very discreet.

What won’t be discreet is the price.

Novitec didn’t say how much it costs, but Novitec body kits and performance upgrades generally start at six figures.
