Ferrari has officially started teasing the brand-new Amalfi Spider

The brand’s newest reveal is set to come much sooner than we first thought, too.

Yet that is not even the biggest headline-grabber.

It turns out that the V8 specs are absolutely mind-blowing.

What we can expect from the Amalfi Spider

Last year saw the release of the much-anticipated Ferrari Amalfi.

It has been received superbly well across the board, too.

Critics have pointed to its exceptional performance as a cruiser.

It has also been routinely praised for the build quality and the finish.

Ferrari has clearly listened to the feedback because it has now responded.

The Supercar Blog has now confirmed that something big is coming.

Ferrari is set to produce an Amalfi Spider, and it’s expected to be here as early as March.

What is interesting is that this Amalfi Spider is set to be a replacement for the Roma.

The overall styling of this Spider is set to be very similar to the existing coupe version.

Of course, though, the most obvious difference will be the roof.

Instead of a hard top, the roof will be a folding fabric option.

It is set to maintain the same shark-nose front end, sleek taillights, and firmer fenders.

Same powerplant, different output?

Of course, the most intriguing part of all of this is the engine.

Unsurprisingly, the new Amalfi Spider is set to use the same 3.9-liter, twin-turbo V8 as the standard version.

It will reportedly produce 631hp, as well as 561lb-ft of torque.

This powerplant will be wedded to an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic.

Ferrari claims that the Amalfi coupe sprints from 0-60 in just 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 198mph.

The performance figures of the new Amalfi Spider might vary quite a bit.

By the way – there’s more party pieces coming, too.

The Amalfi Spider is also expected to get Ferrari’s new brake-by-wire system, an active rear spoiler and Side Slip Control 6.1.
