A Florida YouTuber and car builder just turned a broken 2012 Audi R8 into a jaw-dropping supercar using parts from Temu.
He spent only $1,700 on carbon fiber parts from China, a fraction of the U.S. price tag, which is easily in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The result is a head-turning R8 that looks like it rolled straight out of a $150,000 dream garage, but cost him a fraction of the price.
Viewers were surprised by how much they liked the Temu supercar, with one YouTube commenter perfectly putting it: “The Gen 2 wheels look way too good, damn.”

From Temu boxes to Audi R8 supercar glory
This Audi R8 supercar began life as a half-dead auction find with no bumpers, damaged structure, and missing parts.
After a complete rebuild and a hand-wrapped finish, the owner decided to push things further with parts sourced from Temu, the budget dropshipping site, where people have got everything from boats to dirt bikes.
Out came a carbon fiber front bumper lip, a GT-inspired diffuser, and stick-on logos, all unboxed like Christmas morning after a 40-day ‘fast’ shipping wait.
The carbon parts didn’t fit right at first – the front lip refused to align, forcing him to remove the bumper, sand down the edges, and seal the gaps with glue.
When everything finally clicked, the result was really striking: the red bodywork and dark carbon weave came together perfectly, turning a forgotten R8 into something that looked professionally tuned rather than built from budget parts.

Wheels that looked ‘way too good’
The final transformation came from a set of Gen-2 forged wheels, 20-inch factory wheels that instantly modernised the car.
With new Michelin tires and fancy rings to make them fit, the whole supercar became incredibly popular with YouTube commenters.
Combined with the carbon wing and diffuser, the car now looks like it’s worth the six figures you would spend on a brand new R8, despite being built for a fraction of that.
Creativity and bit of TLC can turn a true supercar nightmare into a daydream.
