A Florida man ditched his Chevy Silverado for a Toyota Tacoma, but it all went wrong just five days later.

Tacoma owner Mikey Junior posted his adventures onto the Taco Nation Facebook group, and it caught a few people’s attention.

It all went wrong for the owner after some interesting collision damage.

And now he is trying to ask others for help to prevent the incident from happening again.

Mikey Junior made a post revealing exactly what happened just days after swapping out his Chevy Silverado.

Just five days after getting the new Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a large buck ran in front of him.

“Last night, my 5-day-old truck decided to meet a big buck crossing the road,” Junior said.

Despite the damage, he didn’t want to take the pickup truck back to the Toyota factory.

Instead, he had other ideas.

Junior took to the group wanting advice for what aftermarket extras he could add to his truck.

The aim was to mitigate any potential damage in the future should it happen again.

Fortune really wasn’t on Junior’s side with the accident happening just five days after he bought the Tacoma.

The reality is, though, that these incidents are more common than you might think.

Wildlife collisions can badly damage a pickup or any other vehicle, depending on the animal’s size.

In this instance, the Tacoma owner looks to have driven away with minimal damage considering the size of a buck.

The front-left part of the fascia was damaged but perhaps not as badly as you might expect.

It is interesting to see the approach taken by the Tacoma owner following the incident.

Instead of just getting it repaired or replaced, Mikey Junior wanted to upgrade his truck to be more sturdy, and look a bit cooler.

Junior floated the idea of adding a steel front bumper, winch mounts and extra full front grille protection.

Not only would it strengthen the front end of the Toyota Tacoma, but it would make it look like a seriously tough machine.

It would also protect it if another buck ran out in front of him.

Hopefully, for Mikey’s sake, he doesn’t have to worry about that again.
