This Uber driver in Florida just happened to drive by the driveway of somebody who owns an eight-figure Ferrari.

It’s not super clear based on the post they shared, but it does sound like the Ferrari could belong to the Uber passenger.

That’d be ironic.

Especially when you consider this Ferrari 250 GTO can be worth up to $50 million.

The name 250 includes more than one model

The 250 name isn’t random, it was inspired by a technical detail.

‘250’ was the displacement of a single cylinder, and through the years, the Italian automaker ended up using the name 250 for several different models across two decades, and as a result, you now have 250s that are worth six figures, seven figures, or even eight figures.

For example, the most expensive Ferrari in the world – and most expensive car in the world before the record was broken – is a 250.

Then again, the name 250 was also used for other, less expensive models.

But the one you see here isn’t on the least expensive ones.

What the driver said about the Ferrari sighting

A Florida-based Uber driver who also has an account on Reddit shared what happened to them on social media.

Apparently, he had to drive home a customer who also owns a 250 GTO.

It’s not super clear based on the caption the Redditor shared, but it does sound like it the Ferrari owner and Uber passenger were the same person, as unusual as that may sound.

“I dropped an Uber passenger off at the house of the owner of the actual Pistachio 250 GTO,” the caption read.

“$35 million just sitting in the driveway.”

The evaluation is pretty accurate.

Depending on year, condition, and so on, a 250 GTO can easily sell for $30 million – $40 million these days.

In some cases, even $50 million.
