From being confident to doing research, the former car saleswoman explained how to go about things in the right way, and in which order.

And, after watching this, you may approach getting a new vehicle very differently.

This car saleswoman shared some useful tips for negotiating

We’ve all been there, wanting to buy a car, but the asking price is simply too high.

Well, instead of admitting defeat straight away, one woman who claims that she used to sell cars in college has shared some tips, which could help you out in more ways than one.

She says that when looking to test drive a car, you should visit it in the lot first, and inspect it for yourself – basically making sure that the car dealership has kept their end of the deal.

So, let’s say the tires haven’t been replaced in a while, or the windscreen is chipped – you get the picture.

Now, she also explained that most dealerships mark cars up, so if you have all of the information that needs fixing, you can detail your reports when negotiating and explain that you need to put that money into the car.

“Look for every single thing that you can,” explained content creator eatth3world1.

She also explained that they are more likely to abide by negotiating on your terms if you look like you know your stuff.

“Give them a reason why – trust me,” she said.

These tips could help you in the long run

She also gave some other tips when buying and negotiating on her TikTok account, which included getting a certain insurance package on the car so that if anything were to go wrong, you wouldn’t be liable to fix it.

She also noted that you should contact your bank before putting a down payment on a car, as there is often a deposit limit, and buying on a credit card could cost you more in the long run.

When you have a trade-in, she says that you shouldn’t let them know until you have the out-of-door price sorted, and if they try to low-ball, you can whip out another valuation for them to match.

Online, other car lovers praised her advice.
