A couple of friends kayaking on a river in New Jersey found an abandoned yacht that looked like a spooky old house inside.
Chris and Jay, from the Mobile Instinct YouTube channel, set off along the filthy river to try and track down the yacht.
The pair carefully made their way through the murky waters, strewn with empty plastic bottles and other rubbish.
But their efforts finally paid off, as they turned around a bend and spotted the derelict boat.

The abandoned yacht had been left in a New Jersey river
Chris from Mobile Instinct is no stranger to this sort of thing, having previously unearthed this abandoned plane in a South Carolina forest and discovering this long-forgotten NASCAR racetrack.
Four years ago, he learned about an abandoned yacht in New Jersey and decided to check it out for himself, bringing his buddy Jay along for the ride.
The friends had to carefully pick their way through overgrown bushes and trees to get to the yacht and climb aboard.
The yacht itself was – as you’d imagine – in a seriously sorry state but despite the dust, dirt, and grime built up over the years, it’s still clear to see it would have been an impressive yacht back in the day.
“I don’t know anything about boats, but this looks like it would have been a really nice boat at some point,” the urban explorer said.
The spacious boat was set across three levels
Set across three levels, Chris noted that it ‘looks like a house’ inside.
And he’s not wrong – the yacht has numerous living spaces, bathrooms, sleeping areas, and a small office with a fold-out desk.
The spacious boat also has a spiral staircase offering access to all three levels, a multi-speaker sound system, and even a full-sized walk-in shower.
Sadly, all of this has been left to rot and the cockpit had been completely stripped out.
“It’s been a while since this thing has sailed the open seas,” Chris said as he explored the yacht.
It’s unclear why – or for how long – the yacht had been abandoned in New Jersey but judging by the state of it, it’s safe to assume it’s been a while.
Restoring the yacht would be a mammoth task, but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility – just take a look at what this husband and wife from Canada managed to do with a rotting and rusting yacht they found.
