George J. Saliba thought he was about to add a very special purchase to his collection – the ultra-exclusive Bugatti bike.

The New Jersey car dealer had his eye on a Bugatti bicycle and was ready to make a deal.

But when he contacted the seller, he discovered that getting his hands on one would be much harder than expected.

His reaction was captured on camera as he learned he had missed his chance to own one.

Bugatti bike buyer discovers he waited too long

In a video documenting the conversation, Saliba contacted the seller to find out whether he could finally buy the Bugatti bike of his dreams.

The response was not what he had hoped for.

“You can’t get it anymore,” the seller told him, leaving Saliba struggling to understand what had happened.

“What? What do you mean? You just offered it to me last week,” he replied.

The seller explained that the bikes had been part of a limited production run, prompting Saliba to admit he had not realized how exclusive they were.

“Bro, I didn’t know it was limited,” he said.

As the conversation continued, Saliba made it clear that he had changed his mind and was now ready to buy one.

“I was excited. I thought I was going to call you today and buy it,” he explained.

He also revealed exactly what he had planned to do with the unusual purchase.

“Bro, I was going to buy it and hang it at the dealership on the wall.”

Unfortunately, the seller confirmed that there were no more available through the original arrangement.

The Bugatti bicycle costs thousands of dollars

The bicycle in question is the Bugatti Factor ONE, a high-performance road bike created through a collaboration between Bugatti and British bicycle manufacturer Factor Bikes.

With a starting price of around $23,599, it costs more than many people’s first cars, and production was limited to just 250 examples worldwide, making it a seriously exclusive purchase.

According to the seller, Bugatti owners were given the first opportunity to buy one, with the option of custom paintwork to match their cars, before the bikes were offered to other customers.

The seller also explained that the bicycle featured specialist components and distinctive wheels, meaning its price was not simply down to the famous Bugatti badge.

With its aerodynamic carbon-fiber frame and high-end cycling equipment, the bike was designed to deliver serious performance as well as exclusivity.

Seller offers to track down the sold-out bike

Although Saliba was clearly disappointed, the conversation did not end without a possible solution.

The seller offered to see whether he could track down another example, although he warned that finding one in the right size could be difficult.

Saliba was happy to leave the door open.

“All right, well, if you can track one down, let me know,” he said.

He added that he was interested in other automotive-related collectibles, too, telling the seller: “Any bike car related, I’d like to buy it.”

The seller agreed to ask around, giving Saliba a possible second chance at securing the exclusive bicycle.

For now, though, the exchange ended with the buyer still empty-handed, but one bike and car enthusiast somewhere in New Jersey very happy.

“Damn, man, that sucks,” Saliba said, summing up the disappointment of missing out on a purchase he had been planning to make that very day.
