This Georgia man broke down the costs of a $1.45M Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport after one year of ownership and 4,000 miles.

Ed Bolian bought the Veyron with 11,000 miles on the clock and took it up to 15,000 in a year.

The car had just come back from its yearly check-up, so what better time to take account of all the expenses?

Bolian gave a thorough breakdown of all the figures and how he felt about the car after one year.

The costs that have come with owning a $1.45M Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport

Even though Bolian said he had to ‘pinch himself’ when he saw the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport in his garage, things didn’t start off so dreamy.

In fact, it was something of a nightmare to begin with.

Not long after the car was bought, the ‘Check Engine’ light was flashing, and the car was running poorly.

Bolian agreed with the dealership that the coolant system needed to be completely flushed.

The spark plugs and ignition coils also needed servicing – at a staggering cost of $25,000.

To be fair, this car had previously been owned by Justin Bieber, Floyd Mayweather, and Lil Uzi Vert, so it’s had an interesting life.

The Michelin Pax tires, which have been on since 2017, were worn out and in need of replacement.

But for Bolian, this presented a problem.

“Late 2022 is the last date stamp that I’ve seen,” he said.

“And I’m not going to pay 10 grand for a tire, 40 grand for a set for tires that are already so old.”

His current plan is to get a set of Chiron tires and have some wheels made to replicate the ‘look’.

The axles around the boot are leaking, and they’re $60,000 a pair.

As you can see, the costs are adding up fast.

How much has he spent overall?

Bolian estimated that he’d be paying $75,000 for the big annual service, but he ended up at $19,000.

Understandably, he was happy with this.

Factoring in insurance, at $500 a month, and other costs, he estimated he had paid somewhere between $30,000 and $40,000 for his first year of ownership.

Not too shabby.

Bolian owns a lot of impressive cars, including a  2003 Mercedes-Benz SL 500, a Lamborghini Murciélago, and a whole host of others.
