Georgia man Ed Bolian has revealed how he suffered the ‘ultimate first-world problem’ when he accidentally bought a Lamborghini supercar for a record price.
The YouTuber and founder of VINwiki has amassed some amazing cars over the years, some he has sold, while others he will cling to forever.
He has a particular soft spot for anything Lamborghini, and so it’s no surprise that he’s owned a few of the supercars during his time.
But one Lamborghini in particular has given him a headache.

The Lamborghini behind the ‘ultimate first-world problem’
The car in question was a 2007 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 coupe, with a gated six-speed manual transmission.
Finished in Monterey Blue and with a 6.5-liter V12, the supercar immediately caught Bolian’s eye when it was listed on Cars & Bids.
Only 23 of the 88 manual LP640 coupes were in the United States, and this was the only one painted in Monterey Blue.

These, however, do not sell cheaply, with Bolian revealing some have sold for over $1 million.
Fortunately for him, this model didn’t cross that million-dollar threshold.
That was due to its higher mileage, a minor accident it had, and its non-original, reupholstered interior.

Bolian set a record price with the Murciélago
Bolian, being incredibly intrigued by this particular Murciélago, decided to jump into the bidding war for the car.
With three days left, the YouTuber was the highest bidder at $710,000.
He expected that to rise, but on the morning the auction ended, he was still the highest bidder.
Bolian admitted he wasn’t expecting to win the bidding war and said he had to sell a bright yellow Ferrari in order to afford it.
He also had to break the news to his wife that he’d just bought a new supercar.
What sweetened the deal, though, was that these were Bolian’s favorite cars, so he was pretty stoked with his purchase.
Plus, Bolian set a record, as it was the most expensive car to sell on Cars & Bids when he won the auction.
While it adds to the cool factor, he admitted it gave him a shock.
