GM could take over the charging sphere

General Motors is now streamlining charging EVs to make owners’ experiences even more advantageous.

The company has teamed up with Electrify America to enable drivers to charge their EVs at over 5,000 Electrify America fast-charging stations.

The chargers on offer include Hyper-Fast 350-kW chargers, meaning cars can hit the road quicker than ever.

“We’re collaborating across the industry to deliver not just more chargers, but better public charging experiences,” GM Energy Vice President Wade Sheffer said.

“Our work with Electrify America helps make public charging easier to access for GM EV drivers.”

Now, in both the US and Canada, drivers of GM vehicles can use more than 250,000 public chargers.

The process can be started right in the drivers’ own hands

Forget having to use more than one app to top up your EV.

With this method, it has never been simpler.

The charging stations can be located using the myBrand app, alongside planning routes and paying for sessions.

General Motors is making the Electrify America network accessible via the myChevrolet, myCadillac, and myGMC apps

“Through this integration, GM EV drivers have more Hyper-Fast chargers to choose from and a seamless experience they can count on nationwide, helping them get to the places that matter,” CEO and president of Electrify America, Robert Barrosa, said.

So, keep an eye out if you snap up a General Motors car – you could be charging in no time.
