1-of-1 Corvette ZR1X raises $2.6 million for American heroes
A bespoke 1-of-1 Stars & Steel-inspired Corvette ZR1X sold for $2.6 million at the Barrett-Jackson 2026 Scottsdale Auction, with 100 percent of the price going to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The winning bidder, Rick Hendrick, gets the hand-painted Dark Satin Steel ZR1X, plus the amazingly lucky chance to build the twin-turbo V8 engine and take part in a first-ever Corvette delivery at the GM Design Dome.

GM public charging gets easier with Electrify America
GM EV drivers can now find, charge, and pay at Electrify America stations directly inside the myChevrolet, myGMC, and myCadillac apps, with access to over 5,000 fast chargers.
The built-in integration adds real-time availability, route planning, monitoring, and in-app payments to cut down on app juggling while road-tripping.

The Nissan Ariya concept is driving on sunshine
Nissan has unveiled a solar-powered Ariya concept with loads of high-efficiency solar panels across the hood, roof, and tailgate that convert sunlight into power via an advanced controller to celebrate Clean Energy Day.
Real-world testing suggests it could add up to 14.3 miles of range on a bright day and reduce charging frequency by up to 65 percent, depending on usage and location.
