Grok AI is set to go live in Tesla cars with the next update, and this is what it does so far.

The addition of the artificial intelligence assistant is set to make Tesla drivers’ lives even easier.

The 2025.26 update is set to push it into action alongside hosting a new abundance of features for the cabin, including synced lighting.

But, there is a big catch to the new assisting technology.

Grok AI is going to go live in Tesla cars

It’s the moment that Tesla fans have been waiting for as Grok AI goes live in the American EVs with the next update.

Artificial intelligence is shaping the way that the EV world is advancing, with the technology slowly making its way into more infotainment systems than ever.

And now, thanks to a new software update, certain vehicles can benefit from the addition.

Any new Tesla delivered from July 12, 2025, will be able to use Grok, but for others, there are a few more detailed requirements.

You must either have a Model S, Model 3, Cybertruck, Model Y, or Model X, an AMD processor, premium connectivity, or WiFi, or, of course, the new software 2025.26.

But, there is a catch.

“Grok does not issue commands to your Tesla vehicle. You can still enjoy more seamless control of your vehicle with Tesla voice commands,” stated Tesla itself.

So far, the update can reportedly sync to lights on models including the new Model 3, Model Y, and 2026 Model S and X. The accent lights will respond to music and can even match an album’s cover.

That’s not all, listening preferences are affected, along with the Dashcam footage and charging information too, so it’s good news all round.

Plus, for new Tesla drivers, there’s even an Onboarding Guide available in the new Model 3 and Model Y, LHD.

Tesla is a dominating force in the EV world

The EV giant is paving the way in the auto world thanks to its constant new releases.

From software updates to huge new vehicles appearing, Tesla cars have always been a force to be reckoned with.

In fact, the company recently hit another milestone, with a driverless delivery taking place in Texas.

Plus, a drone flyover in California caught a possible glimpse of a Tesla model that could be ground-breaking.

And, with the addition of the Grok AI assistant, who knows what will be available in the very near future.

You can take a look at what Tesla had to say regarding the software update on X, above.
