One of the world’s fastest GT-Rs was spotted going to a whole new level as it was seen being loaded onto an A380 heading for Dubai.

The sighting was reported in Sydney, as photos were snapped of it being loaded onto an Emirates A380.

Built by Maatouks Racing, this 1500hp GT-R was recently listed for sale by Ashraf Sawires, before it quickly found a buyer in the UAE.

Not many cars get to travel by plane, but when it’s a car this special, you have to give it special treatment.

One of the world’s fastest GT-Rs was spotted being loaded onto an A380

Content creator Troy Candy, aka Troy Williams, shared news of the sale over on his Facebook page.

Alongside photos of the GT-R being loaded onto a Boeing A380, he wrote an effusive post.

“This is so cool, I had to share this! One of the bros listed his 7-second Matouks-built 1500hp GTR for sale. Ended up finding a buyer in Dubai, so today it got loaded up onto the Emirates A380 in Sydney!” he said.

“It’s crazy how some of the best-built and fastest GTRs in the world are right here in Australia.”

It certainly impressed a lot of his followers too, who took to the comments section to heap praise on the car.

“You know when the buyer has money when his car is going on a plane, not by boat,” one person commented.

Others called the car next level, whilst others speculated on how much action the car would see out in the desert dunes near Dubai.

What do we know about this car?

Well, for a start, it’s the handiwork of Sydney based workshop, primarily known for Nissan RB engines and Skyline GT-R builds, alongside other high-power projects.

This car, in particular, runs on a Haltech engine management system, which is standard for these high-power race-built GT-Rs.

The engine itself is a full billet 3.2-liter stroker, indicating that the 1500hp will be a piece of cake.

It’s got a 2-speed gearbox, almost exclusively used in drag or roll-racing cars.

And to top it off, it’s capable of a 7.9-second quarter mile at 179mph.

You know a car is a big deal when it’s traveling on a plane

Usually, cars are exported on boats – even if that sometimes ends badly.

But there are exceptions to this rule, where a car becomes airborne.

The Sultan of Brunei’s McLaren F1 GT was loaded onto a Boeing 787 heading for London before it spent a few years out of focus.

Then there was the case of the pink Porsche GT3 RS, which got the five-star Emirates treatment.

It was a similar story with this Bugatti Chiron.

No expense spared.

So if you should ever find yourself on a plane with a car being loaded onto it, sit and pay attention – this car is a big deal.
