Han’s iconic VeilSide Mazda RX-7 sports car from ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’ just sold for an incredible $1.2 million at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The Mazda is one of the most iconic cars from both the franchise as a whole and the 2006 film. It also helped further popularize Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) culture.
At the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Mazda RX-7 was auctioned off, and it sold for an incredibly large sum of money, well over $1 million.
The sale highlighted how popular the film series still is, as well as the popularity of the RX-7 itself.

The VeilSide Mazda RX-7 sells for $1.2M
The VeilSide Mazda RX-7 was auctioned as part of the 2025 Festival of Speed.
Incredibly, the sports car sold for a staggering $1,225,568.
That made its sale one of the highlights of the Goodwood auction.
But why exactly did it sell for so much? Well, there are a few good reasons for this.

Universal Studios commissioned the car from VeilSide, with it boasting a body kit manufactured by Fortune.
That kit adds all sorts of extra body parts, including a rear wing, front splitter, and other elements of carbon fiber.
The Mazda also received a tune from RE Amemiya, who also gave the engine a cosmetic makeover.
As well as the tune, the RX-7 also had a new clutch, brakes, and an upgraded coilover suspension setup.
The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift Mazda outputs stock power
According to the auction house, the Fast and the Furious sports car still produces its stock power output.
That means its rotary engine produces a total of 276hp, but that is plenty for a car that weighs just 2,315lbs.
The listing for the car stated that it was only ever used for static and stunt scenes.
That is why it is in such good condition.
Whoever bought this former Tokyo Drift star is going to have a lot of extra fun thanks to its audio system too.

The Fast and the Furious RX-7 has a massive Alpine audio setup.
Twin amplifiers and multiple speakers are enhancing the quality of the tunes.
It certainly cost the auction winner a lot of money.
But we think the new owner will enjoy driving such an iconic part of automotive movie history.
