It shouldn’t be able to fly… not looking like that. But in head-on footage posted by Topfelya, the Airbus Beluga barrels toward the camera before somehow lifting its big, bulbous melon clean off the runway.
The Beluga’s shape makes zero visual sense – the OP even comparing it to Pixar’s Megamind – yet it makes the climb with confidence.
Behind the comedy is an engineering monster – a super-hauler built to ferry entire airplane wings and fuselage sections across Europe.
And watching it lift off head-on is pure aviation magic.
