Porsche and Pixar are bringing Sally Carrera from "Cars" to life

Porsche and Disney’s Pixar division are working together to bring back Sally Carrera from the original “Cars” movie that was released in 2006.

The creation will celebrate 20 years since the film launched and while Sally will be brought to life, she will be slightly different.

Instead of using the 996-generation as a basis for Sally’s creation – like the original – Porsche has decided to use its newest 992-generation platform as the base.

This would see the arrival of some changes – most notably a size increase.

Once completed, Sally 2.0 will be heading to a charity auction, with proceeds going to Girls Inc. – a non-profit organisation supporting girls and young women.

Additionally, through the USA for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, auction proceeds will aid families affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

Porsche Design will also be involved, aiming to produce a limited-edition timepiece to accompany the 911 Sally 2.0 – featuring unique styling and design elements from the car itself.

We are excited to see the final result and as you can see by these sketches, Porsche has even given her the same shade of blue as before – which suitably resembles the blue on the Ukrainian flag.
