A plane took off from the highway after law enforcement called in a pro pilot for the tricky maneuver following an emergency landing, and the whole thing looks like something that would happen in a flight simulator.
A viral TikTok showed us a small airplane using a highway as a runway after being forced to land on the road.
Patrol officers had to bring in a pro pilot to handle the departure because the takeoff demanded very precise control.
Drivers watched from the roadside and filmed as the plane took off, with the pilot nailing the emergency takeoff.

Life is a highway
In a recent viral clip, a small airplane was filmed heading down the middle of the highway with traffic shut down in both directions.
Cop cars blocked off the lanes, creating just enough space for the plane to line up for departure.
As the pilot began rolling forward, the airplane approached a bend in the highway and an obstructive sign that would normally make a straight takeoff impossible.

Instead of fighting it, the pilot followed the curve of the road perfectly, using the bend, and seconds later, the plane rotated and lifted off smoothly, flying off with no problems.
TikTok viewers weighed in on the takeoff in the comments.
One joked, “Easy, I do this daily in my GTA Online lobby.”
“Difficulty level: pro,” wrote another.
“Looked like a normal take off to me,” a third person added, capturing how calm the maneuver looked despite the chaos around it.

Patrol calls in pro pilot as backup
Even if it looked effortless, takeoffs from public roads are rare because highways are uneven, debris-filled, and certainly not designed for aviation, which means the pilot had to judge the situation with total accuracy.
Navigating a bend at takeoff added even more complexity, since drifting just a few feet could send the airplane smashing into the signage all around.

That is why officers reportedly brought in a pro pilot rather than attempt a tow on the highway.
It’s a show of pure aviation skill, and it could’ve gone terribly wrong, but luckily, it just blew our minds.
