Japanese automotive giant, Honda, has taken the covers off its new $1 billion plant in Marysville, Ohio, where its new next-generation vehicles will be produced.
The plant will build EVs, hybrids, and ICE cars along the same production line.
The new production center is also very significant for the manufacturer.
Not only because of its cost but also because it will continue the 40+ years of production the manufacturer has held in Ohio.

Acura RSX SUV will be the first product at the new plant
The upcoming Acura RSX SUV, from Honda’s luxury division, will be the first EV to roll off the new assembly line in late 2025.
The plant will then produce the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV. Both were shown off in the concept stage in January at CES 2025.
Thanks to the new EV Hub’s flexibility, the plant will be able to produce hybrids and internal combustion engine cars in addition to EV cars.
This was one of the driving factors behind the massive $1 billion investment in the new plant.
The investment included a new retooling procedure at the Marysville Auto Plant, the East Liberty Auto Plant, and the Anna Engine Plant.
Honda is also planning to introduce new manufacturing procedures to help reduce its carbon footprint and create a more human-friendly working environment.
The Honda 0 Saloon and 0 SUV will be built in Ohio
Following on from the Acura RSX, the first vehicles to leave the new plant will be the Honda 0 Saloon and 0 SUV.
While the concept models were unveiled in January 2025, Honda has already stated that the production versions will be nearly identical to the concept models.
The 0 SUV is a development of the Space Hub Minivan, and while that in itself is minimalist and clean, it is arguably the 0 Saloon that is the most eye-catching.
The wedge-shaped Saloon has very retro sports car vibes, looking like a mixture of cars such as the Lamborghini Gallardo and Chevrolet C4 Corvette.
Both the 0 Saloon and 0 SUV will form a core part of Honda’s future at its new Ohio plant.
