Hyundai just pulled the sheet off something it calls Concept THREE.
It’s sharp, sculpted, and looks more spaceship than hatchback.
The design is all about steel that bends, flows, and slices through the air.
And if the price rumors are true, this thing could sting the rest of the EV market where it hurts.

So what exactly is Hyundai’s Concept THREE?
Hyundai has finally revealed the Concept THREE – a compact EV set to join its IONIQ lineup, with a full debut coming at IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich.
The brand calls its new design language ‘Art of Steel,’ inspired by the way metal bends and flows.
The result: sculpted panels, crisp intersections, and a fresh body shape dubbed the ‘Aero Hatch.’
It’s the South Korean automaker’s way of reimagining what a compact EV can look like.

But the appeal here isn’t only skin deep.
Concept THREE is pitched as sporty, compact, and relatively affordable.
Electrek pegs the starting price at about $33,700 – enough to put it up against the Kia EV2, and dangerously close to the entry-level segment Tesla once promised but hasn’t delivered.
With US EV credits of $7,500 ending September 30, the brand is positioning itself as being ready to give buyers something futuristic without blowing the budget.
The bigger fight Hyundai just stepped into
Online reactions are split – some complained EVs lack ‘soul,’ cost too much, or look like mash-ups of other brands.
Others pushed back, praising Hyundai for keeping prices in reach and design bold enough to stand out.
Behind the noise, the bigger picture hasn’t changed: Tesla still sells the most EVs in the US, but its lead is slipping.
Competitors like Hyundai and GM are pumping out fresh models fast, and buyers are paying attention.

With the added perks – cleaner air, lower emissions, and thousands saved on fuel costs – the tide is shifting.
Concept THREE isn’t just a design tease.
It’s a reminder that the EV fight is moving fast and Tesla’s no longer the only one setting the pace.
