This man from Indiana has attempted a seriously chaotic car experiment, adding 17 turbos to his truck to make it 38,000hp.
Cody Detwiler – known online as WhistlinDiesel – is well known for his chaotic and often slightly dangerous car experiments.
Before the modifications and the 17 turbos were added, the truck was tested at 397HP, causing the team to predict either a massive power gain or a complete disaster.
And the experiment ends pretty much how you’d expect it to.

17 turbos on a truck seems like a bad idea…
Vehicles Cody owns normally don’t make it to the end of his videos in one piece.
Or they’re forced to deal with extremely dangerous terrain and weather conditions.
This time, Cody forced his fabrication team to take part in an experiment while he was on jury duty.
He tasked them with adding 17 turbos to his truck to try and increase its horsepower. Why? Because, according to Cody, he’s trying ‘to make 1 trillion horsepower’.
Somehow, the fabrication team managed to create a truck that clearly confused one commenter who ‘thought it was AI generated.’
Because visually, it seems impossible that it could exist.
Reaching 38,000HP
Although it’s not quite 1 trillion HP like Cody wanted, when the turbos started spinning, the truck immediately produced 15 pounds per square inch of boost.
However, the truck also started producing something a lot worse.
As the experiment progressed, the hilarious DIY vehicle began to billow smoke. It poured out of the vehicle, cutting their visibilty on the road.
In true WhistlinDiesel style, the experiments they put the truck through ended with the brake line being cut accidently. Which, to be honest, at this point is just par for the course.
But because the truck was still technically running at the end of all the experiments, the team chalked it up as a win.
It did ultimately catch fire, but is anyone really surprised?
Cody and the team also pitted the smallest truck against the biggest in a serious game of tug-of-war.
