John Travolta's unique $10,000,000 Florida mansion doubles up as a private airport

John Travolta owns an impressive mansion in Florida that doubles as an airport.

Dubbed ‘Jumbolair’, Travolta’s celebrity mansion is massive, but the hangar for his planes is even bigger.

It even has a runway.

And there’s another reason why this is more than just a mansion.

Jumbolair is a home, but also a ‘club’

Jumbolair is a home, but it’s also an aviation estate that members can fly directly in and out of.

Located in Florida, the estate also includes a small airport.

Travolta and his late wife, Kelly Preston, were one of the first couples to ever purchase land on the estate, which they then used to build an amazing house and an even more amazing hangar for his planes.

Then again, he needs all that space.

In fact, we’re not even sure he can fit all of his planes in there.

The actor makes no secret of his love of planes and flying, and he’s been collecting aircraft for decades.

He holds several different licenses, and he owns a fleet of aircraft that’s absolutely mind-blowing.

John Travolta doesn’t collect cars; he collects planes

Travolta has different licenses allowing him to fly.

In an interview with an aviation magazine, Travolta said he was certified to fly 11 different jet types, including several airliners like the Boeing 737, the 707, and the 747.

He actually owns some of those planes.

He owns a Boeing 707 that Qantas gave him, along with a 727, a Bombardier Challenger 601, and a Dassault Falcon 900.

In addition to the planes that he owns, he can also fly the Boeing 747, Gulfstream II, the Hawker 125, the Lear 24, 25, and 36, the British Vampire Jet, and the Canadair CL-41 Tebuan jet.

He clearly still loves flying too, having recently been pictured landing his jet, with his family aboard, on runways in Australia and New Zealand.

His jet fleet certainly costs more to maintain than a ‘regular’ collection of cars.

But then again, John Travolta is worth around $250 million at the time of writing, so he can definitely afford it.
