A Kansas car enthusiast created an unstoppable semi-truck built for destruction and made a very ‘bold choice’ when it came to driving it.

The unusual passion project resulted in a truly one-off vehicle that looked a bit like GTA’s Phantom Wedge.

Of course, after spending hours building the semi-truck, the time came to give it a test drive.

And it was here he made an incredibly ‘bold choice’.

A bold-looking semi-truck built for destruction

The custom semi-truck built for destruction was created by car enthusiast and YouTuber Westen Champlin

Westen is no stranger to unusual DIY vehicle projects, like this badass supercharged jet boat made from scrap metal, or this Corvette that was fitted with saw blades on its tires

Another of his builds saw Westen turning a 30,000lb semi-truck into a plough to create an unstoppable, and majorly mean-looking, one-off vehicle.

Westen got the idea after watching an episode of Mythbusters, and forked out $4,000 for a Freightliner semi-truck.

He then set about designing the huge plough for the front and managed to fix it to the front of the truck.

With the hard work done, it was time for Westen to hop behind the wheel and give it a test drive.

But of course, this was far from your gentle drive to get a feel for the vehicle.

Instead, Westen used the modified semi-truck to smash into old cars, metal drums, and even a motorhome, while bits of debris flew through the window.

“One of the most dangerous things I’ve ever done,” he admitted in a recent post on Instagram.

However, it wasn’t just the destruction that got people talking.

“Open window was a bold choice,” one follower commented on the clip.

You can say that again.

The truck whipped past a State Trooper

While out and about in his DIY semi-truck, Westen happened to ride past a State Trooper

“I’ve never seen this many cops anywhere,” he said as he navigated the test drive of the huge truck.

Thankfully, the officer didn’t seem too concerned about what he was witnessing.

“He just waved,” he said.

He must have been a fan of GTA.
