Westen Champlin is no stranger to experimenting with vehicles, but now he’s tackled a project involving one of the world’s smallest cars.

The Kansas YouTuber got behind the wheel of a bright red R6-swapped Isetta with seven times the power of a normal model.

He wasn’t the only one who ended up in the cabin, as he also picked up a stranger named Kyle to experience the fun too.

However, there was one big catch: stopping the small car proved to be quite the challenge.

BMW Isetta – one of the world’s smallest cars

Whilst we’re used to seeing standard sedans on the road, this car is an absolute gem of the automotive industry.

However, Westen Champlin doesn’t just have one of the world’s smallest cars – he’s also made some serious modifications.

The car in question was an R6-swapped Isetta, a BMW classic, also one of the world’s smallest cars, but in a way that you’ve never seen before.

Your usual Isetta, sometimes known as a bubble car, is based on a design from the Italian manufacturer Iso Rivolta.

They feature an unusual door in the front and a single cylinder four-stroke engine in the back of the vehicle.

Westen’s version actually has a whole different chassis, thanks to the introduction of parts from an R6 Yamaha motorbike.

In true car fan fashion, the YouTuber offered a ride to a passerby, but there was one catch.

“It’s a good time to mention, I ain’t worked out how to stop it yet,” he said as the tiny car hit the road.

As you’d expect, after footage of the car surfaced online, gearheads couldn’t get enough.

“Didn’t know such a little car could hold so much awesome,” said one user.

“I don’t got brakes is crazy,” commented another.

“That door popped open like a tube of biscuits,” added a third.

BMW Isetta with seven times the horsepower

As you can see, the car is no ordinary vehicle, as it has a motorcycle attached underneath the distinctive shell.

After purchasing a Yamaha R6 bike from Marketplace, the creator had a vision- to put a 600cc into the car and supercharge it.

Westen put in hard graft to weld and attach the Yamaha parts to the Isetta, eventually providing the car with a whole new look.

So, it turns out that any car, no matter the size or engine, can be turned into a powerful force to be reckoned with.
