Owning a Koenigsegg is something that is going to turn heads at the best of times, but putting it in Ghost Mode in London adds another dimension.

Driving a Koenigsegg in London is liable to bring the entire area to a standstill.

Well, one such person has managed to achieve just that feat, bringing one of the wealthiest parts of the city to a complete halt.

And the person in question just happens to own an extremely rare Koenigsegg Regera.

Koenigsegg turns heads in London

A video featuring a Koenigsegg Regera has been going viral on TikTok over the past few days.

The video, which appears to have been shot in London’s Piccadilly, shows a supercar parked outside.

But this could not be further from simply being any rare, expensive supercar.

Because this particular four-wheeled beast just happens to be a Koenigsegg Regera.

This video, shot by fypmrs, shows the rear of the Regera opening.

As a matter of fact, the video appears to show the Regera activating its ‘Ghost Mode’.

‘Ghost Mode’ is a very cool, hidden feature that comes as part of owning the Regera.

With two clicks of the bottom button, the Regera opens up like a real-life Transformer.

The rear wing and trunk area lift up, followed by the hood at the front.

Then, the dihedral doors and wing mirrors lift and also open out to the side. Which is bound to bring traffic to a halt.

Regera receives rave reviews

When it was first released in 2016, the Swedish marque sold almost all of its Regera units straight away.

During the Regera’s creation, brand founder Christian von Koenigsegg developed a technology called the Koenigsegg Direct-Drive (KDD) system.

This is important because the KDD system effectively eliminated the need for a traditional transmission.

Among the high praise, the KDD system was especially singled out for positive feedback.

The staggering 1,782hp comes from a 5.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 combined with three electric motors.

The first of the three electric motors sits on the crankshaft, while the other two sit on the rear wheels.

All of which makes the Swedish machines exceptional supercars.
