These guys traveled to Illinois to buy a Lamborghini Huracán STO in cash

The STO is a car worth around $400,000 so, in a way, buying one is an event in it and of itself.

It is even more of an occasion if you buy it in cash because $400k is not exactly the amount of money people carry around in their jacket pockets

But there was another element that made this car even more special.

What’s unique about this Lamborghini

The guys from the Hamilton Collection YouTube channel visited a dealership in Illinois with a plan to buy a rare Lamborghini Huracán STO in cash.

This is a beefed-up, more expensive track-focused iteration of the Huracán, and it has a market value north of $400,000.

For some reason, probably just for the kicks, they decided to buy it in cash.

So they went to their bank, took out $400k in cash, and showed up with bags full of Benjamins.

The dealer began explaining something about the car, including its provenance and, as it turns out, the vehicle used to be owned by none other than Travis Scott.

That probably explains the hefty price tag because, broadly speaking, the celebrity factor can help vehicles hold on to their value.

Inside the car collection of Travis Scott

Travis Scott has an interesting car collection.

He made some ‘predictable’ choices when putting together his collection – for example, he bought a Ferrari LaFerrari but also owns unusual vehicles, including a custom Ram TRX pick-up truck converted into something that looks like an apocalypse truck.

But the most peculiar thing about his collection is most of his vehicles are finished in mocha brown.

He’s obsessed with that color, and he used for nearly all of his cars.
