Larry Ellison proved he really knows how to splash his cash by spending $10 million on eight lakefront homes for his staff and children’s tutors.
Now that’s some big spending, even for the former CEO of Oracle Corporation.
In addition to all of his mansions and yachts, he’s splashed out millions for the homes of his staff, 30 miles from his Florida compound.
The support village has been running alongside his Palm Meadows Estates gated community since 2023.
Larry Ellison is a very rich man, there’s no doubt about that
When you’re one of the world’s richest people, you can spend money that would sound unfathomable to your Average Joe.
Ellison embodies that better than anybody.
After all, this is the man who once rented out an entire Concorde just to show it off.

When he’s not installing Tesla Superchargers on his private island, he’s splashing out on McLaren F1s and Acura NSXs.
So it’s safe to say, this is a man who is not afraid of spending money.
And perhaps nothing demonstrates that better than the homes he purchased for his staff.
Larry Ellison spent $10 million on homes for his staff
Ellison’s company, Florida Estates LLC, spent $10 million on eight lakefront houses in Palm Meadow Estates, a gated community in Boynton Beach.
These were two-story homes with between two to four bedrooms, offering up enviable water views.
The homes also came with Tesla Powerwalls.
This extraordinary purchase was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
“The purchases offer a rare glimpse into a phenomenon largely shielded from public view: As the ultrarich expand their personal real-estate footprints, they are also buying homes for the people who keep their households running,” the article noted.
The article drew comparisons with Mark Zuckerberg, who purchased houses in Palo Alto to create a compound for his family.
What estate agents said about the purchase
Palm Meadows Estates, located between West Palm Beach and Boca Raton, is exactly what you’d want if you moved to Florida.
A stones throw away from a lake, this community is guarded by 24-hour security and offers up high-end living.
Kimmie Cruz, a local estate agent, spoke to the WSJ about her experience showing the houses to a small group.

She reportedly had to convince homeowners to sell.
“I said, ‘Look, this is the chance to sell it without having to have it on the market’,” Cruz told the publication.
“‘This is a chance to have somebody very viable. The money is there.'”
It wasn’t until later that she saw Ellison, flanked by security guards, in person.
The night after he visited the properties, she received the first signed contract for the houses.
