This man drove 50,000 miles and revealed his Tesla Model 3 costs

Many people are shifting from gas-powered cars to EVs due to a variety of different reasons, and one man decided to reveal how much driving a Tesla Model 3 for 50,000 miles really cost him.

YouTuber content creator Carmen Scuito judged the costs based on three factors – charging, maintenance, and insurance.

First up, he explored charging cost versus how much gas would have cost him, and since 2022, he revealed that he’s spent $2,840 by using a combination of Supercharging and at-home methods.

But, after calculating gas costs, the same period would have cost him a whopping $7.296, which means he saved $4,649.

Alongside charging costs, the gearhead also judged maintenance costs, and his Tesla Model 3 costs amounted to just $158, but after using ChatGPT to estimate the maintenance of a gas-powered car, he revealed he would have saved roughly $2,000.

Finally, he also estimated how much insurance would cost for a gas car versus his Tesla Model 3. Again, he used AI to estimate the cost, and he revealed he would have saved $1,349.04.

So, his total cost of owning a Tesla Model 3 after 52,000 miles came to $5,248,96, but he saved a whopping $7,998.04.

The Tesla Model 3 is a favored car when drivers switch from gas to EVs

Thanks to the trend of drivers opting for EVs, many drivers have chosen their daily driver to consist of a Tesla, specifically a Tesla Model 3.

In fact, many other drivers have praised the car for its cost benefits.

For example, one Model 3 owner shared how he drove 144,000 miles in six years and managed to save an astonishing amount of money,

Plus, we can’t forget the guy who explained how, even though he had a strong love of gas cars, there was a key difference that made getting the Model 3 a simple ‘no-brainer’.

So, the general feeling among drivers seems to be that the Model 3 is a top EV choice, but what do you think?
