Mercedes-Benz is a household name in the car industry but the company is also busy doing a bunch of non-carsy stuff like shoes on the side, and they’re getting quite good at it.
After teaming up with the late fashion guru Virgil Abloh for a one-off G-Wagen and a unique Maybach off-roader complete with a sand-colored purse, Mercedes has now launched a new sneaker collection and some new headphones.
Mercedes shoes
Several automakers have produced sneakers and racing shoes in the past but they always seem to look like they were specially made for formula 1 drivers.
It’s safe to say that most people probably don’t think that’s fashionable.
That’s why this collection feels different, because these Mercedes shoes look like they were designed to hit the runway, not the track.

The capsule collection was designed in partnership with Santoni, a leather manufacturer from Italy, to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Mercedes-AMG.
There are several different models available, including various high top sneakers and low top sneakers, both available in a bunch of different colours.
The collection also includes boots that look like they’ve been spray-painted with a chrome finish.
The sneakers retail for $480 while the boots cost $680.
The prices are steep, but what’s the price of fashion these days?
Headphones & ear buds
The German manufacturer has teamed up with a New York-based audio company called Master & Dynamic to launch three different headphones and two types of ear buds with noise-cancelling technology.

You can opt for the headphones with the unmistakable three-point star painted on them, but there are also models with the more discreet ‘AMG’ inscription.
The MW65 headphones, the ones with the big Mercedes logo on them, retail for $524.
