Bentley is celebrating three important ‘birthdays’ with a collection of limited-edition Flying Spur variants.
Each new Flying Spur is a reference to a specific model from the past.
This is because, by pure coincidence, 2025 marks three separate anniversaries for the British brand.
And all three are important, but for entirely different reasons.

Why Bentley is celebrating three anniversaries this year
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the 2005 Flying Spur, the 40th anniversary of the Turbo R, and the 60th anniversary of the T Series.
All three vehicles are important milestones for the British luxury manufacturer.

The 1965 T Series was the automaker’s first monocoque vehicle, which represented a significant technical advancement at the time, especially for a brand that specializes in luxury vehicles and not on track cars.
Then there’s the 1965 Turbo R, which kickstarted the company’s rebirth after a few years of uncertainty.
Lastly, there’s the 2005 Flying Spur, which was the manufacturer’s first-ever 200MPH sedan.

The Flying Spur was important because it also cemented the carmaker’s place in the automotive landscape.
Back then, the VW-owned brand was still trying to find its footing in the luxury car world, and the Flying Spur (which still used the iconic W12) helped significantly.

All three are faithful replicas of the vehicle they pay homage to, with one exception
Bentley essentially took every meaningful visual element from these three models, and then applied it to the three sedans designed and developed by Mulliner.
The Flying Spur that pays homage to the T Series, for example, is finished in the exact same shade of silver grey, and uses the same lacquered veneer and leather upholstery for the interior.

The same could be said about the model that honors the original Flying Spur.
Both are finished in the same hue of ‘Cypress’ green, and both feature Burr Walnut leather upholstery for the cabin.
However, for unclear reasons, the Turbo R (pictured below) tribute is the exception here because it is completely different.

While the original Turbo R features walnut finish for the dashboard and a black steering wheel, the equivalent Flying Spur has a beige leather steering wheel and a black dashboard.
It still looks great, though.
