There’s a new car in town – a Malaysian royal has just added a $6,000,000 Bugatti Mistral to his garage.
It’ll be sitting in good company alongside a Koenigsegg Jesko and a LaFerrari.
The hypercar belongs to Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, better known as TMJ, the Crown Prince of Johor.
He clearly has a taste for the finer things in life, and this Mistral is a testament to that.

What makes this Bugatti Mistral fit for royalty?
The Mistral is an ultra-exclusive open-top hypercar, and it’s something of a swan song for Bugatti as its the final road-going model with the brand’s legendary 8-liter W16 quad-turbocharged engine.
Capable of producing 1,578hp, it’s been recognized as the world’s fastest open-top production car and can exceed speeds of 282mph.

What is it about TMJ’s Mistral that sets it apart?
Out of a crowd of 99 cars, it still manages to stand out, thanks to its porcelain-like exterior tone matched with the gloss black wheels.
The personal touches don’t stop there; the interior features his initials and the Johor Royal Crown inlaid in gold against a carbon-fiber backdrop.

It’s no wonder that the Prince’s Mistral was likely significantly more costly than the base price of $5.4 million.
It’ll fit right in with the rest of TMJ’s world-class garage.
Forget about the horse and carriage – today’s royals are all about fast cars
Whatever you think you know about royals, forget it.
These days, they’re more accustomed to supercars than they are the traditional horse drawn carriage.
That’s certainly the case with King Charles III, whose $15 million car collection includes Rolls-Royces and an Aston Martin DB6 that runs on cheese and wine.

And that’s nothing compared to the Sultan of Brunei, who has more than 600 Rolls-Royce vehicles in his collection.
From Abu Dhabi to Saudi Arabia, royal families are stocking up on supercars.
It certainly makes sense – after all, what better press could you get for a supercar than to say it’s fit for a king?
