The island of Malta, in Europe’s Mediterranean Sea, closed out November with chilly weather and thunderstorms.
Parts of the island were hit with hail, and some streets quickly filled with flowing water.
In the middle of all that, traffic slowed as drivers tried to navigate the conditions safely.
And that’s when a red and white McLaren Senna appeared on the road.

The Senna pushed through a flooded Maltese street
The clip, posted by TikTok creator suryaaaaaa70, shows the Senna driving uphill through rapid-flowing floodwater.
Rain was still falling as the car moved forward, pushing against the current running down the street.
For context, the Senna is one of McLaren’s most extreme road cars.
A lightweight, track-focused model powered by a 789hp twin-turbo V8.

It’s a machine built for downforce and precision, which makes seeing it in heavy rain, on a flooded street, so visually striking.
It kept a steady pace as water washed past its wheels, the whole moment looking completely out of place for a car usually seen in far cleaner conditions.

Supercars turning up in unexpected moments
This isn’t the first time a high-performance car has shown up somewhere unexpected.
In Norway, someone spotted a Porsche 911 Dakar doing school-run duty, rolling through suburbia instead of the off-road environments it was built for.
In the UK, shoppers were caught off guard when McLaren W1 hybrid prototypes turned up at a grocery store, parked casually outside.
And Los Angeles commuters recently saw traffic transform into a car-spotter moment when a rare Superlite SL-C appeared on the 101, prompting a wave of online identification and excitement.

All three clips – just like the Senna in Malta – show how quickly a normal day can turn into something far more interesting when the right car shows up.
If Malta sees more weather like this, people might want to keep their phones ready to capture the next unexpected supercar sighting.
