A man who bought a used Bentley Continental GTC was called ‘stupid’ by everyone, but he realized why after he saw the car’s total repair bill.
YouTuber The Logbook had bought the car despite people saying he was stupid, but he wanted to take the GTC to a specialist to see what needed doing on the car.
His video sees him go to the specialist and pick up the car, yet before it’s properly started, he reveals the repair bill was in the four-figure region.
It shows that maybe buying a used Bentley isn’t the best thing to do.

How much work was needed on the Bentley?
The ultimate aim with this car is to ‘flip it’ and sell it on to someone and perhaps make a profit on it.
However, that is all dependent on the cost of the repairs to the Continental GTC.
The YouTuber runs through the invoice and gets a chance to see what was done.
The one-year service alone costs £360, which roughly converts to $479.

Dirt needed cleaning out from the fuel filler neck drain, and the underbody pipework needed treating with wax oil.
These are just some of the jobs undertaken on the Bentley, and the more minor ones.
An underbody noise test, as well as the draining of coolant and a few other jobs, cost over $300.
The total repair cost of the used Bentley Continental GTC
In total, the cost of repairing the Bentley was nowhere near as bad as the YouTuber had thought it would be.
The repair bill came to around £1,200, which is around $1,600.
That is not as bad as The Logbook expected, and he feels he got away with it.
It was clear that there were an awful lot of issues with the Bentley when he first bought the car.
One risk he took was trusting the seller of the car when it came to buying it with the known issues.
It all seemed to add up, and it turned out the seller was telling the truth.
In the end, the YouTuber was happy to go to a specialist to sort it, and it looked like it was worth it.
