This man bought an abandoned Detroit car factory to restart it and found it packed with impressive project cars.
He bought it four years ago and had big plans.
The buildings had a whole host of interesting uses, with some cars in need of restoration inside.
But there were also other interesting objects inside, too.

Factories are at the heart of car production
Cars are made up of many small components, which need to be assembled in a safe. controlled environment, aka a factory.
From Xiaomi’s SU7 factory in China becoming a gearhead’s paradise, to an old Fiat factory becoming a retro-hotel, factories have many variations and uses.
This factory is certainly proof that anything is possible, that’s for sure.
YouTuber Andy Didorosi revealed that he had a plan to restart the Detroit-based factory that he bought four years ago. However, it wasn’t going to be the easiest task.
He’d grown up watching many factories close, and wanted to save this one from the brink of despair. But was it possible?
The factory had stories to tell

It was originally built 102 years ago by Link Belt, and had five buildings in total, including a design centre, logistics center, and even a print shop with working machinery.
The factory had faced a number of challenges in recent years, from break-ins to fires and even floods, so it wasn’t in the best condition. But the YouTuber had big plans to get it running again.
There was already a space for racing project cars, but with an abundance of space on offer, the rest of the huge building needed to be put to work once more.
Despite the rugged condition of the factory, there were also some gems inside that were begging to be restored.
The project cars included a 1985 Peugeot 505, with plans for it to become a rally project, alongside a 1965 Plymouth that actually ‘runs great’.
Another gem included a Dodge Aspen too, that he got for free, which just needed a starter and some gas.

In other buildings, there was also a host of race bikes, with around 30 that he’d been collecting, although he didn’t have many plans to make content regarding this – the find was still pretty cool.
There were also robots in the factory
Yes, that’s right – a whole fleet of industrial robots were also on hand. These provided the opportunity to manufacture a number of things with extra help.
However, he stated that programming them to work was a challenge that he wasn’t quite prepared for.
Even though the place wasn’t in top shape, we can see the potential here with all the different buildings and even a self-driving fire truck lying within its walls.
