This YouTuber found an old Honda Civic and decided to give the abandoned car a new lease of life.

The car had definitely seen better days, and most people would have passed it by without a second glance.

However, it was love at first sight for this man.

Armed with $500, a wrench, and an unshakable optimism, he took on the challenge of bringing this abandoned car back from the automotive afterlife.

YouTuber Artur Stone Garage shared this epic journey on his channel.

He bought the Honda Civic for $500 and quickly went to work.

The first thing he had to do was clean the car, and it was no easy task.

In fact, even the man who was cleaning the world’s dirtiest Ferrari would agree that this is a real challenge.

The abandoned car was filled with spare parts, which were quickly removed for later use.

He then removed the seats and the sound insulation, revealing that the metal underneath was still in good shape.

The YouTuber then vacuumed the entire car, which took a long time due to the buildup of leaves and pine needles.

As the sunroof was open for years, there was also plenty of water inside the car, although luckily, the important bits were rust-free.

Of course, that’s not to say that a bit of rust would be a deal-breaker, given how this rusty 1967 Mustang was restored despite spending 25 years in a barn.

Surprisingly, after some time spent on the engine, it was actually functional, although he had to take it for a quick test drive to confirm that the transmission was working properly.

Because he removed the sound insulation earlier, the car was really loud, and not because of its sheer horsepower.

Also, the car’s clutch wasn’t working well, although that should be no surprise.

The YouTuber commented that the car was something that you can’t drive casually, as it demands your attention.

Still, considering the condition it was in, it drove reasonably well.

He then gave the seats a thorough cleaning, even taking care to show the before-and-after photos of the seats.

After giving the car an oil change and cleaning the oil pan, he worked on reviving the car’s turbo capabilities.

Seeking help from a friend, the duo went to work.

And with the power of teamwork, the two managed to give the car some pretty respectable performance on the road.

The YouTuber noted that the Honda Civic still needs a lot of work, but at the end of the day, it still has a lot of potential.

We can’t wait to see where he takes it from here.
