This man wowed people by building a fully functional Airbus A320 cockpit in his spare room for the ultimate simulator experience.
His maiden flight in the cockpit took place from Sydney to the Gold Coast, flying as Jet Star 410 in its signature orange-colored livery.
He used switches, batteries, and fuel pumps to bring the simulator to life, and he goes through real-life procedures like ATIS checks, a full QNH setup, and even an APU start, just like a real pilot.
He dreams of a bigger room with more gear and a better motion setup for his full simulator. But for now, you can tell how overjoyed he is with the whole experience.

Airbus A320 cockpit is the ultimate simulator experience
There’s something interesting about this Jet Star 410 flight from Sydney to the Gold Coast, and it’s that this airplane isn’t actually real.
Instead, this YouTuber has been working on a fully life-size and workable Airbus A320 simulator in a room in his house, and it’s pretty realistic.
His aforementioned maiden flight across Australia happened purely through the simulated plane cockpit, and he did it in exactly the way it would happen on a real-life Airbus A320 simulator.
He undertook an ATIS Check, QNH setup, APU start, and welcomed his (simulated) passengers, just like he was piloting a real flight.

He has big plans for his flight simulator
Currently, his standard setup comes with an electronic flight bag on a real iPad, and he uses Stream Decks for pedestal functions.
As a fun little extra, the overhead panel by SL3 Simulations adds a touch of authenticity to an already very cool and functional setup.
The simulated flight was smooth and everything went well, including the ATC comms and flight checks.
The YouTuber wants to move the simulator to a bigger room with more space and add some newer systems, like a motion setup, and more gear.
This shows how incredibly far DIY flight simming has come, and it blends multiple manufacturers into one seamless system, a truly incredible and unique feat!
