The cheapest Bentley Continental GT in the entire UK now has a new owner: one who openly admits he may have made the biggest automotive mistake of his life.
The car turned out to be less James Bond, and more mechanical horror show.
But mistakes make the best stories, and this one is shaping up to be a blockbuster.
Now, the new owner wants to attempt the wildest rebuild he’s ever done.

It’s the cheapest Bentley Continental GT for a reason
The video began with cinematic flair, with a close-up of the legendary Bentley badge.

However, things quickly took a turn when it became clear that this Bentley Continental GT may have retired from luxury years ago.
The new owner, YouTuber Charlie Wilson, leaned into the irony.
He called it the kind of car you would imagine James Bond stepping out of, except it had significantly more dents and missing parts than what is acceptable for the suave spy.

When he revealed that he bought it because the price was ‘too good to be true’, it’s immediately clear why.
Soon after the reveal, the numbers started landing like punches.
The content creator revealed that he had to shell out £1,200 ($1,600) for brakes, £500 ($670) for an oil change, and various other parts.

Even a simple service at Bentley costed more than most people’s monthly rent.
In fact, the Continental GT is already one of the cheapest models to maintain, illustrating the real cost of owning a Bentley.
Instead of giving up, listing it on eBay, or selling a kidney to fund repairs, he decided to do something far more dangerous: fixing it himself.
Now, this may not seem very unusual, given that restoring luxury cars to their formal glory is not exactly uncommon.
But here’s the twist: Charlie has almost no mechanical experience.
At this point, it seemed like he’s practically daring for something to go wrong.
He has very ambitious plans
But chaos is just half the point.
He got candid for a moment, explaining that he started his YouTube channel because, just like many of us, he doesn’t have life figured out.
Hence, he wants to chase what interests him, and take risks that he wouldn’t normally take, in order to inspire others to do the same.
And so begins the transformation of this neglected grand tourer.

But Charlie doesn’t want to simply restore the car to its original state.
Somehow, he’s even more ambitious than that: he intends to turn the car into a full-blown Batmobile.
Before any of that, he’s going to have to figure out how to change the oil on his Bentley without blowing up the engine.
It’s the first step in a long journey, and it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
