YouTuber Sur Ronster just bought what might be the most powerful electric mountain bike ever made – a high-powered e-bike that isn’t allowed on most trails.
For $5,500, he picked up the Bonell 775 MX – a 6,000W carbon-fiber rocket disguised as a normal mountain bike.
That’s nearly eight times the 750W legal limit in most countries. And yet… no one noticed.
He rode it through packed trails, past other riders, even past cops – and nobody batted an eye.

The most powerful electric mountain bike
Sur Ronster didn’t just buy the most powerful electric mountain bike – he bought a cheat code.
The Bonell 775 MX puts 6,000W of dirt bike power into a stealthy mountain bike frame, designed to blend in.
At first glance, it looks like any other trail bike, but if you flip it into race mode, it launches like a full-blown motorcycle.
Commenting on the difference between its look and feel, he said it felt like ‘riding a Sur Ron if you just deleted 90 percent of it’.

It features a CYC motor, carbon underbody, drop post, triple crown forks, and a barely visible twist throttle.
At just 3lbs, it’s agile enough to wheelie, hit jumps, and crush uphill climbs, all while flying under the radar.
Even when riding with pro-level friends, the Bonell held its own.
And thanks to its low-key appearance, the YouTuber was able to ride it on trails where other high-powered e-bikes get banned.
He calls it ‘a mountain bike dirt bike’ – a hybrid built for bending the rules.

How the Bonell 775 MX is changing the rules
The whole appeal of the Bonell 775 MX is that, while its 6,000W motor far exceeds legal limits – and most trails or streets would consider it a no-go – because it looks like a regular mountain bike, it gets a pass.
Sur Ronster bought it to ride trails where e-bikes like the Sur Ron aren’t welcome… and it worked. Nobody questioned it.
He said it slipped through the cracks while delivering an unfettered motorbike performance.
At $5,500, it’s priced in the same bracket as Sur Rons and EI Pro 3.0s, but the extra stealth comes free.
It’s fast, fun, and – crucially – low profile.

And for anyone who’s ever dreamed of having a twist throttle on their childhood BMX – because let’s be real, we’ve all pretended to do that – this is the grown-up version.
Sur Ronster didn’t just buy the most powerful electric mountain bike – he bought the blueprint for a new breed of powered e-bikes.
And it does so, brilliantly.
