This man was challenged to complete a 24-hour engine rebuild on his dream car – a Jaguar XFR project.

The challenge was issued by a YouTuber and came with a big reward: if he finished in time, the car was his.

The vehicle had been sitting with a blown engine and several missing parts.

What followed was a high-stakes mission to beat the clock and bring the Jaguar back to life.

The Jaguar XFR had already suffered major failure before the challenge even began.

Its 5.0L supercharged V8 had been removed and left in pieces, with multiple broken components and critical parts missing.

Despite the tight deadline, Tony accepted the task.

His goal was simple: fix his dream car by reviving a Jaguar XFR project through an intense 24-hour engine rebuild and full supercharged engine repair.

The early steps involved compression tests and visual inspections, revealing worrying wear and potential internal damage.

But after just a few hours, his confidence remained high.

Tony sourced a timing chain kit, prepared the crankshaft, and began tearing down what was left of the supercharged engine.

He found worn parts, broken seals, and an engine mount that had completely failed.

It became clear this would be a complicated supercharged engine repair.

Throughout the Jaguar XFR project, Tony faced broken fasteners, missing belts, and seized bolts.

Even small components like the auxiliary belt and crankshaft pulley were either the wrong size or unavailable due to the bank holiday.

But still, he kept working, determined to win his dream car.

He adapted, fabricated, and pressed forward, continuing the 24 hour engine rebuild despite the setbacks.

As midnight passed, the engine had finally been reassembled.

From the crank to the camshafts, every component of the supercharged engine repair had been addressed.

Despite limited resources and unexpected delays, Tony mounted the V8 back into the car from above.

It cost him time, but the attention to detail ensured the Jaguar XFR project stayed on track.

By morning, the V8 engine was reinstalled. Electrical connections were restored.

The gearbox, exhaust system, and broken engine mounts were all reassembled.

Then came the critical moment. With 2 hours and 55 minutes left, they attempted the first ignition.

The Jaguar fired to life and he had succeeded in the complete 24-hour engine rebuild.

The final step of the Jaguar XFR project was to drive the car out of the garage under its own power.

After 21 hours of continuous work, the mission was complete.

From a failed supercharged engine repair to a fully running and driving dream car, Tony made it happen.

Not only did he bring it back to life, but he won the vehicle, proving what you can achieve through skill and determination.
