A man created a truly bizarre home-made Tesla Cybertruck, just so he could claim to have the only example of the EV pickup truck in his country.

The man from Estonia posted the video of his home-made EV on TikTok, crafting what looks exactly like a Cybertruck drawn by a preschooler.

While it might look slightly crude and comical, the actual effort that went into the build is to be applauded.

If he can claim that his is the only Tesla Cybertruck in Estonia, then that certainly makes all the effort worth it.

How the Estonian man built his home-made Tesla Cybertruck

The TikTok video gives us a good look at what the man did to build his EV truck.

Under the username Pirate, Rauno Märtsoo started by creating an angular wooden frame.

This he built over his own car, which he was effectively rebodying to create the Cybertruck.

Naturally, that means this isn’t an EV, but it will at least look like a pickup truck.

The next step was that he used Perspex panels to recreate the bodywork of the truck.

Incredibly, Perspex looked like the perfect material to replicate the controversial design.

Märtsoo was clearly building his DIY creation for a bit of fun and to poke fun at the Tesla.

It certainly had a positive reaction on the social media platform.

Viewers were overjoyed at the DIY pickup truck

One viewer replied with the comment “Cybertruck Temu version 2.0.”

Märtsoo replied and admitted it only cost $775 to make, or €700.

Compared to the tens of thousands of dollars to buy a real Cybertruck, it’s a bit of a bargain.

He also responded by saying it starts every time he turns the key!

A few other viewers had a comical suggestion for the DIY Cybertruck builder.

They said he should park it outside a Tesla dealership to see what their reaction would be.

Another then said they loved it because the original truck ‘looks like a refrigerator’.

Märtsoo’s creation will certainly catch the eye whenever it passes people in Estonia.

In fact, you could argue that what he made is more eye-catching than the real electric pickup truck!
