A man checking out a cool garage packed with supercars uncovered a super rare unicorn car hidden away under a sheet.
As its name suggests a ‘unicorn’ vehicle is one that’s incredibly sought after, achingly rare, or unique.
There’s no solid definition of what makes a unicorn a unicorn, but this slick-looking Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth might just fit the bill.
The Sierra RS500 Cosworth was a special edition version of the Sierra RS Cosworth, and only 500 were ever produced.

The Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth was found amongst supercars
Unicorn vehicles can come in all shapes and sizes, such as this ultra-rare barn find Ford F150, or this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette that was bought by a car enthusiast in the US.
Meanwhile, in the UK, YouTuber Ratarossa was at a supercar workshop when he spotted the hidden gem Sierra RS500 Cosworth under a sheet.
The car was an evolution edition of the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth and came with various beefed-up features including a larger turbocharger, a second set of fuel injectors, an uprated fuel pump, and an improved oil and cooling system.
It also had an increased output of 224 horsepower compared to the standard Sierra RS Cosworth, which had around 200HP.
Produced in 1987, only 500 Sierra RS500 Cosworths were created, meaning they’re an incredibly rare find today.
The unicorn car was in need of some TLC
Sadly, the one Ratarossa found appeared to be in need of some TLC.
The car sported black paintwork with red accents – making it one of 392 examples ever created – and looked to be in pretty OK shape.
However, a peep under the hood revealed the engine had been removed, while the interior of the car needed a thorough cleaning.
Fortunately, the car was definitely in the right place to be restored with the auto shop taking care of a range of high-end motors and supercars.
Here’s hoping the beautiful Sierra RS500 Cosworth will be back on the road again soon.
