YouTuber LostHistorie discovered a treasure trove of rare vintage buses, worth millions of dollars, hidden away at an abandoned site that was guarded by nature.
The vehicles are preserved in remarkable condition despite their age, with some appearing to be vintage trolley buses that took power from overhead wires.
It’s rare to find such an eclectic mix of vehicles in the same place, especially some that are as old as these.
Everyone loves a collection of abandoned vehicles, and these might be some of the coolest that we have ever come across.

The vintage buses were from another world
All of the buses almost look like they are from another world, thanks to the retro styling. But it’s the trolley buses that provide the most intrigue out of all of them.
Above the buses are two long metal poles.
These would pick up electricity from overhead wires, similar to how modern electric trains work.
The poles would follow along the wires across whatever route the buses took.

Ironically, the idea of an electric bus in 2025 seems like a great idea, given the current climate crisis.
The retro design of the buses feels timeless and is definitely more striking than modern vehicles.
As the video showed us, this collection of vehicles seems to never end.
More modern buses are also abandoned
As well as the retro vehicles, a few more modern examples have also been left behind.
These have the flatter and boxier design style we have come to expect from public transport vehicles.
Like the vintage vehicles, these have also been preserved in good condition.
There is a huge variety in the secret location, with many even complete with adverts and posters in the cabins.
The video’s location states this was in Germany, but many of these appear to have seen service in Italy.
Italian adverts and stickers gave us an incredible glimpse into the past.
In terms of their value, these amazing machines could be worth millions.
All of these would make for a great museum, showcasing the history of European public transport.
Perhaps there is someone out there who would love to start up a bus museum!
