After seeing a dream car abandoned in the middle of the woods, these guys simply had to give it a second shot at life.
But, it turned out that it wasn’t any ordinary find; it was a sports car with a ton of history behind it, begging to be saved.
Originally released in the ’90s, the car is the ultimate relic that every car enthusiast will remember.
However, it needed slightly more than a small spruce up with a sponge to look as good as new.

What’s that coming over the hill? It’s an abandoned Honda, not a monster
If you go lurking in the woods, often the last thing that you’d expect to find is an abandoned car.
But these guys hit the ultimate abandoned car jackpot when they found a car that had been completely taken over by nature.
The Acura NSX had clearly had better days, so the guys over at wd.detailing decided to give it a second shot at life.
But, to do so would require some serious hard work and determination.

“This is Honda’s icon sitting out here in the middle of Traverse City, Michigan.
“Who does that? Do you know how many people’s dream car this is?” questioned the creator.
But, it turned out that the Acura NSX had quite the interesting backstory, and the owner even described it as ‘the cheapest NSX in the country’.
“Hopefully it will start,” said the owner as it was unloaded onto a trailer, ready for the guys to work their detailing magic.
From bright orange rusty rotors to a mouse nest hidden deep within the car, the Honda needed more than a light vacuum for it to look brand new again.

The guys sucked up debris from the windshield, jet-washed and shampooed the car to make it look shiny on the outside, but that wasn’t all.
They also took the seats out and cleaned the inside to get rid of any lingering and alarming smells on the carpets
The owner explained that, as he had bought it sight unseen, it had turned up in the condition that the detailing guys found it in.
What’s so special about the car abandoned in the wild?
Well, the Acura NSX, aka Honda NSX, was no ordinary sedan.
In fact, it was a mid-engine sports car that could give a flashy Ferrari a run for its money.

You see, Honda reportedly developed the original NSX in the 1980s, with NSX standing for ‘New Sports eXperimental’, according to Pohanka Acura.
Acura is known as the luxury department of Honda, and as a result, the car was sold both as the Honda NSX and the Acura NSX, depending on the market, in different parts of the world.
Once the abandoned NSX had been overhauled, it looked like it could have just rolled off the shop floor.
And, in true sports car style, the owner took it for a spin in the snow to really put the engine to work.
It really was as good as new and worlds away from when it was just a car abandoned in the woods
“That sounds gnarly,” said the guys as they watched it in action, and it really was a force to be reckoned with.
