A man got out of his car while it was still drifting at the Santa Pod Ultimate Street Car show in the UK to say hello to the crowd.

Santa Pod is home to some incredible events, be they drag racing or otherwise, and often features some amazing cars from all sorts of categories.

The video of the drifting emerged on Reddit, and it was taken at the Ultimate Street Car event that is held at the raceway in the summer.

In the video, the driver greets the crowds while his car carries on doing its thing in the background.

The drifting was a highlight of the Santa Pod Ultimate Street Car show

In the video, we see the driver casually step out of the car, which promptly continues to drift and do donuts.

He proceeds to one side of the fence to wave at the crowd before running over to the other side.

After that, he runs over to the other side of the drifting car, where more crowds are awaiting.

He waves at them, then appears to borrow the phone from a spectator.

The driver then filmed some amazing moments on the phone to give its owner some incredible memories.

This included more crowd interaction, but also footage of the car.

Getting back into the car was an impressive achievement

The driver then took the phone and filmed himself perched on the side of the car.

While all of this was going on, it kept drifting around, as if someone else was at the controls of it.

He then proceeded to drive off, appearing to still have the fan’s phone!

We would imagine he did give it back to them at some point.

The Santa Pod event isn’t just for those who love drifting, however.

A variety of cars take part in the event, which has the dragstrip as its main attraction.

Jet cars regularly participate, and with 10,000hp, can smash the quarter-mile in five seconds.

Santa Pod also allows people to drive their own cars in the ‘Run What Ya Brung’ section.

So as you can see, the event caters to all automotive fans, be they drifters or drag racers.
