An American man in Michigan rolled up in a Bugatti Veyron supercar and attempted to lowball a Facebook Marketplace seller, who was in shock.

Instagram user and YouTuber Frankie LaPenna posted an amusing video on Instagram saying he was ‘pretty tight on cash’ and had to make some deals.

Doing this while driving a Bugatti is the ultimate irony. It was evident as he tried to lowball a Marketplace seller by more than $100.

Cue a fair shock from the seller, who was totally baffled by the situation and didn’t really know how to react.

The Bugatti owner shocked the Marketplace seller

LaPenna was clearly looking to have some fun, rolling up in the Bugatti and admitting he was going to lowball the seller.

The Bugatti Veyron supercar cost several million dollars.LaPenna was looking to buy a fishing reel as he turned up.

The reel was listed for $150 according to the video, but LaPenna had other ideas.

When being told the price of the reel, the Instagram user promptly said he would pay $35 for it.

Cue a perplexed look on the seller’s face, with the car he turned up in adding to that confusion.

It is easy to understand just why the Facebook Marketplace seller was so bemused.

The Bugatti Veyron is not a cheap car

When the seller pointed out the car he had turned up in, LaPenna had an amusing response.

He said the car was just a replica, and it was a kit car he had built himself, which of course wasn’t true.

The video then cut off, so we don’t know what happened next.

It looks like it was a bit of a setup, so LaPenna probably admitted to the seller what he was doing after.

Anyone driving a $3 million supercar would likely be able to afford a fishing reel for $150.

When the Veyron first came out, it started at $1.9 million; however, the spec chosen could bump that up to over $3 million.

The car in the video looks to have had a few modifications.

Let’s hope the seller wasn’t too annoyed after this interesting encounter.
