This man who had spent more than $10,000 on his Porsche Cayman S got an awkward surprise when he took it to WeBuyAnyCar.

YouTuber Joe Talks Car got his Porsche Cayman S four years ago and spent tens of thousands repairing it.

Curious to know how much it’d be worth, he took it along for an assessment by car buying service WeBuyAnyCar.

The number he heard left him shocked.

This man got a shock when he took his Porsche Cayman S to be inspected

Joe took his car along to an inspection with WeBuyAnyCar.

In case you’re not familiar with how that service works, here’s a quick summary.

You take in your car, an inspector will look it over, and then offer you a ‘low-ball’ figure based on how much they think it’s worth.

Pretty straightforward, right?

When Joe arrived at the center, he had it inspected.

The car was to be graded by a number on a scale from one to five – one meaning the car was in ‘showroom condition’, five signifying it was a ‘complete wreck’.

Joe’s ended up being a three, thanks in part to stone chips around the car’s body.

But that wasn’t the real shocker here – it was the price put forward by WeBuyAnyCar.

Brace yourself for this – it was $7,880.

For way of comparison, on eBay, Joe says the Porsche Cayenne S would usually go for between $19,000 and $27,000.

He’d estimated that his high mileage car would have maybe gone for $16,000.

But instead, he was given this surprisingly low figure.

“So will I be selling it?” Joe asked his viewers.

“I don’t think I’ll be selling it at all.”

This isn’t the first time WeBuyAnyCar has left a car owner shocked

One man was left stunned after he took his $70,000 Tesla along to the car buyer and was offered $36,800.

His Model Y was deemed to be a ‘Grade 2’, so a better score than what Joe received.

Another Porsche owner was left kicking himself after his 911 Targa was deemed to have lost a lot of value due to one decision he made.

It’s not always the easiest conversation to have.

But it’s important to know how much your car is worth if you’re thinking about selling.
