A man who has played Microsoft Flight Simulator many times took a chance to see if he could fly a real Boeing 737 using the official version used by pilots.

It’s something that very few people can achieve, captaining a huge Boeing 737, but now, after previously using the Microsoft version, one plane enthusiast managed to fly an official simulator.

His piloting dreams came true as he took to the cockpit and took off into the sky.

But the experience didn’t come without its challenges.

Every aviation fan’s dream is to fly a plane one day, but for some, flying a huge commercial jet such as a Boeing or Airbus is simply out of the question.

This is often due to sky-high costs and years of training that are needed for people to work their way up the ranks.

However, there is a solution to this, and thanks to flight simulators and even video games, aircraft enthusiasts can partly make their dreams turn into reality.

One YouTube creator decided to put his passion into action by using his skills that he’d previously both practiced and gained by using Microsoft Flight Simulator to fly a real-life Boeing 737 simulator used by pilots.

Content Creator Alpha+ documented his experience and set out to find out if his virtual practice had paid off.

It was clear to see that he could find his way around the controls of the simulator used by pilots and the cockpit.

“This is absolutely incredible, honestly,” he said as he navigated the plane.

It was all going well, but upon landing the Boeing 737, he came in too high, so he had to fly around and try again instead and it turned out the second time really was the charm, and he landed the plane successfully.

There are plenty of flight simulators available, not just this Boeing one

Thanks to clever technology, plane fans can try out what it’s really like to sit in the cockpit and captain the aircraft.

In fact, one man has an ultra-realistic Boeing 747-400 simulator set up in his basement with incredible visuals.

Plus, an unbelievable simulation showing the speed of the International Space Station also left people stunned.
