A drifting Toyota Chaser has turned into a series of repair disasters, forcing a full respray just days before its appearance at Adam Sefest.
What started as a minor accident during a first-time drift quickly became a costly rebuild for YouTuber AdamC3046.
The crash exposed hidden paint flaws and structural issues beneath the surface.
With the deadline fast approaching, the entire car is now undergoing a transformation to be ready in time.

A drifting accident ends the day early
In his latest YouTube video, AdamC3046 attempted to slide his drifting Toyota Chaser for the first time.
But on the very first lap, a misjudged counter-steer sent it straight into a tractor tire.

The front end took the hit, cracking the rare Vertex bumper and leaving the car sidelined.
What initially seemed like a minor accident soon triggered a chain of repair disasters
A closer look at the Toyota Chaser crash damage
Once the car made it to Sussex Studio, things escalated.
While swapping a damaged rear tire, Adam discovered micro blisters and lifting paint beneath the livery wrap.
The drifting Toyota Chaser had more than cosmetic damage.

The original paint, applied before the car was imported, showed signs of poor prep.
The deeper the team looked, the more they found, and the more it became clear that only a full respray would solve it.
Full respray becomes the only option
With mismatched panels, yellowing clear coat, and blistering paint, a full respray was no longer optional.
Every corner of the Chaser showed signs of aging and previous shortcuts.

The Sussex Studio team began stripping the car, removing the wrap and prepping it for a full color change.
The focus had shifted from repairing damage to completely restoring the car’s appearance and preserving the value of the build.
Preparing for the big reveal at Adam Sefest
The drifting Toyota Chaser had only days left before its planned appearance at Adam Sefest.
With the bumper being rebuilt and the car completely stripped, the pressure was on to finish everything in time.
AdamC3046 teased potential colors for the full respray, including cherry red and dark green, and asked fans for suggestions.

The goal now wasn’t just to fix it, it was to make the car stand out at one of the year’s biggest automotive events.
What began as a drifting Toyota Chaser mishap quickly became a high-pressure sequence of repair disasters.
With a full respray nearly complete and the deadline for Adam Sefest closing in, the car’s transformation has taken on new significance.
Whether it rolls in wearing a bold new color or a subtle refresh, one thing’s clear, this Chaser’s comeback story is one worth watching.
